Eastern students enjoy a broad range of on-campus experiences designed to promote academic, social, and personal development. Student Activities staff work with other offices in the Division of Student Affairs, as well as faculty and housing staff, to provide an integrated student life program.

Eastern Connecticut State University’s Friday After Dark program recently brought in paranormal investigator Brian Cano to regale students on his escapades with the supernatural. Cano’s career has been affiliated with platforms such as the Travel Channel and the History Channel.

Bruce John has lived in the Eagleville section of Mansfield, CT, for more than 70 years, building both a career and community through his love of performing and music. Earning the nickname “The Human Jukebox,” he draws inspiration from the music that he heard in the Eastern Connecticut area, bringing the Eastern Connecticut community together through a love of music.

Fresh Check Day focuses on student mental health

Students poured into the Betty Tipton room on Oct. 19 for Eastern’s Fresh Check Day, an event addressing mental health and suicide among college students. The event was meant to build community across campus and to encourage students to take care of each other.
