The Dean of Students, reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, oversees key areas of student services including the Office of AccessAbility Services, Student Activities, VETS Center, and the Unity Wing. The Dean of Students advocates for students when appropriate and assists with their academic, social and personal growth. In addition, she serves as a general resource and advocate responding to students' needs as related to their personal and social concerns as members of the Eastern community. The Dean of Students assists the Vice President for Student Affairs with projects and initiatives designed to enhance student success. She serves as a sounding board for student ideas, needs and issues and refers students to appropriate university offices.
The Dean of Students serves as a member of the Sexual Assault Resource Team and also convenes the Student Intervention Team on a weekly basis to discuss information about students who may be in crisis or whose name has been referred to the team for assistance and guidance.
If you have any questions, ideas or concerns, stop by the Dean of Students Office which is located in the Gelsi Young Building, Second Floor, Room 222. Access to the Dean is through both drop-in availability and scheduled appointments.
