Nicole Fuhrmann ’17

Nicole Fuhrmann is a Senior Network Security Engineer at Voya Financial. "Eastern’s cognitive neuroscience program taught me how to understand behavior from a biological perspective. Through the efforts of the admissions team, psychology department and Veteran’s Center, I had the resources I needed to succeed while being employed full time and serving in the U.S. Air Force."

Kristin Hambidge ’07

Psychology major Kristin Hambidge is a psychologist at MedOptions and the University of Connecticut. “At Eastern, I completed an internship at a local psychiatric hospital, which was my first experience providing direct clinical services for those with mental health concerns. Eastern’s psychology faculty always made me feel welcome and supported in my academic and professional endeavors.”

Health Science Major Mariana Serrano ’18 is a Senior Home Visiting Implementation Specialist with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, specializing in infant/early childhood home visitation. “The Health Sciences program has prepared me to work with a myriad of public health issues and provided me with the education and experience to support populations in need.”

Tia Russell Dance

Sinque Tavares ’17

Theatre major Sinque Tavares is an operations assistant at Tia Russell Dance Studio. At Eastern, he concentrated in acting, directing and dance, and starred in several theatre productions. “My eyes have been opened to other dance forms — hip hop, jazz, modern, tap. Now I like to choreograph from different perspectives and incorporate different genres into the same dance.”

Hydrologic Modeling

Timothy Bugden ’14

Environmental Earth Science major Timothy Bugden earned his M.S. in hydrology at the University of Connecticut and works as a CAD draftsman. “Eastern was nothing short of extraordinary. I flourished under the instruction of exceptionally motivated professors and enjoyed the camaraderie of my fellow EES students. I shudder to think of the opportunities I would have missed had I not enrolled at Eastern.”
