Awarded to a junior in any undergraduate major preparing to teach in elementary or middle school (grades 1 through 9), and with a course concentration in the sciences, the The Rogers Endowed Teaching Scholarship was launched in 2000 by Emerita Professor Mary Rogers Beckert, a long-time member of the Physical Sciences faculty. She passed away in 2010.
