Summer and Winter Session
Credit Limit:
Summer: 12 credits
- Students may take up to 7 credits through the end of Summer Session A
- Students may take up to 7 credits during Summer Sessions B & C
- A student enrolled in Summer Session C may not also enroll in an overlapping week long, intensive course
Winter: 4 credits
- In some cases, students may enroll in up to 7 credits, provided that the courses are offered sequentially, and the student's overall GPA is 2.5 or higher. Permission must be granted by the Advising Center.

Online Courses
Online courses allow for a distance learning environment. Any current Eastern student, as well as non-matriculated students, may take online credit-bearing courses at the undergraduate level.
For those interested in graduate course work, University policy states that to register for graduate offerings, students must complete the Graduate Admissions process. Please visit the Graduate Division for more information using the following link.
5 things to consider when deciding whether to take an online course:
- While online courses typically allow for a flexible schedule, more self-discipline is usually required.
- Online courses primarily use technology for teaching, direction, and communication.
- Some individuals learn best through in-person engagement with instructors and other students. Consider the type of learner you are.
- Online courses require the same, if not more, time spent as on-campus courses.
- Personal or professional circumstances can sometimes interfere with students ability to keep up with online coursework. Be sure you are prepared to dedicate time to your online course(s).
