As Connecticut's Public Liberal Arts University, Eastern is proud to provide an environment rich in academic excellence and co-curricular opportunity. As such, our family programs educate parents & family members about the Eastern experience and provide resources to help family members support their student.

Going to college is one of the most important investments you will make in your lifetime. We want Eastern Connecticut State University to be the key to your future success. The Office of Financial Aid provides current and prospective students with the financial aid information, guidance, and timely monetary assistance they need in pursuit of a college education. Aid support ranges from grants and scholarships to loans and student employment.

  • The Warriors host 17 NCAA sports, adding Men’s Swimming in 2019 and Golf in 2020 (Sports fall into three separate seasons: Fall, Winter, and Spring). They compete in the Little East Conference, which includes schools from each state in New England.

    Eastern has won the Little East Conference Presidents' Cup for academic superiority five times in the last 11 years and the LEC Commissioner's Cup for athletic superiority four straight years through 2019-20. Twice in the last four years, Eastern has won both the Presidents' Cup and Commissioner's Cup in the same year.

    Recent National Tournaments include Women’s basketball finishing in the 2nd round of the 2020 NCAA tournament. Softball finished 3rd in the 2019 NCAA tournament in Tyler, TX.

    Student-Athletes balance a full class load while participating in their sports.

    Warriors are active in the community, supporting causes like Be the Cure, local soup kitchens, Team Impact, the Alzheimer’s Walk, and others.

    Warrior Leadership Academy is a leadership curriculum open to athletes from all programs, teaching leadership and team skills that also translate into workplace environments.

  • The Office of Student Conduct

    The Office of Student Conduct supports students as they learn Eastern’s core values and how to act as responsible adults in a community-based living and learning environment. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions as they learn that the University is a community unto its own, with standards and expectations of academic and student conduct.

    University Police

    Eastern’s Department of Public Safety is committed to maintaining a safe campus environment. Police officers and public safety staff take pride in the strong relationship they have fostered with the community. They offer a number of safety-related programs to enhance crime prevention efforts, safety awareness and overall campus security. University Police Officers are State certified and sworn to uphold the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Connecticut. Officers are committed to your safety and to providing a safe environment for everyone that attends or visits our campus. Our services are available 24/7.

    LiveSafe

    The LiveSafe app provides the campus community with a direct connection to campus public safety so that everyone can easily communicate all their safety needs.

    Some of its benefits include:

    • Share information, tips and safety concerns with campus safety via text messaging, including picture, video, and audio attachments, or even through live chat.
    • Stay anonymous anytime, or send your user information and location to Eastern Police as soon as you call or message, allowing faster response times.
    • View a helpful Safety Map that displays where recent incidents have occurred, as well as nearby safety locations.
    • Activate the SafeWalk function which is a GPS-tagged monitoring feature to let your friends and family keep you covered until you arrive safely to your destination.
    • Anonymously report crimes and also report/request from Maintenance or Housekeeping. The user controls what information is sent and who it is sent to.

    Campus Parking

    Upper Class Students and Commuters may obtain a parking permit at the University Police Building. Visitor Guest Parking: may obtain a TEMPORARY parking pass at the University Police Building.

    Shuttle Service

    The shuttle is provided by University Police for university community for added safety and security while traveling around campus. The shuttle bus hours are posted at each residential hall, the Student Center and the Police Department lobby. The shuttles travel a specific route for the maximum convenience of all rider. They are equipped with a lift for anyone needing personal assistance.

  • The Card Services Office at Eastern Connecticut State University manages the Eastern EXPRE$$ CARD Program, Student Meal Plans, the Electronic Door Access System and Auxiliary Services. Students, faculty, and staff should visit Card Services to obtain their University Identification Card/Eastern EXPRE$$ CARD and electronic door access key FOB. Students may sign-up for a Meal Plan and make deposits to the Eastern EXPRE$$ CARD by visiting our webpages below.

  • The Center for Internships and Career Development is here to guide and support students on their career journey. Through programs, networking events and direct communication, the staff encourage students to engage in Eastern’s services and develop career readiness skills in demand by employers.  Whether an internship, graduate school or employment is the next stop for you, the center’s staff is here to help.

  • Hurley Food Court - Hurley Hall

    Hurley Food Court is our all-you-can-eat main dining facility. The Court offers exhibition cooking, oven fresh pizza, made-to-order deli sandwiches and salad bar which includes: lentils, cold pastas, potato salads and fruit salad. There are specialty stations featuring cereals, breads, desserts, ice creams, soups, gluten-free and vegan selections, an all-day breakfast and saute station. Hot entrees are served daily and our grill offers hamburgers, veggie burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches.Present your Eastern EXPRESS CARD for your Meal Plan, Dining Dollars or EXPRESS CASH purchase and enjoy all you can eat. The Food Court also accepts cash but not debit or credit cards.

    Student Center Food Court

    This location features Campus Perks Café which offers a full line of "We Proudly Brew Starbucks" espresso drinks, coffee and baked goods, and fresh fruit smoothies. At Create, salads are made to order with a variety of fresh produce. Mondo Subs offers handcrafted deli sandwiches made with high quality meats on wraps, rolls and breads. Grill Nation features breakfast sandwiches, hamburgers, grilled sandwiches, french fries and chicken tenders. Build Pizza features made-to-order pizzas that are customized to your liking. Chef's Table is a weekly rotating concept that offers different regional cuisines which include: Asian, Mediterranean, Italian, Fresh-Mex, and American. The Food Court accepts cash, Dining Dollars, EXPRESS CASH, debit and credit cards.

    The Library Cafe - J. Eugene Smith Library

    The Library Cafe features coffee, sandwiches, Au Bon Pain soups, salads, prepared meals and a wide variety of cold beverages. There are frozen meals and convenient grocery items to take home. The Library Cafe accepts cash, credit card, EXPRESS CASH and Dining Dollars.

    Shafer Cafe - Shafer Hall

    The Shafer Cafe features coffee, espresso drinks, sandwiches, salads, snack cups, soup, bake goods and a variety of cold beverages. The Cafe in Shafer Hall accepts cash, credit cards, EXPRESS CASH and Dining Dollars.

    Almost 90 percent of first-year students and almost 60 percent of all Eastern students live on campus. Living close to classes, the library, computing resources, support services and a host of student clubs and activities is convenient; national data also shows that students who live on campus get better grades and graduate on time. Housing services are provided by the Office of Housing and Residential Life.

  • Information Technology Services serves faculty, students and staff with access to innovative technologies, platforms, resources and state-of-the-art facilities, as well as strategic partnerships to create an environment conducive to learning. ITS provides a wide range of services for the campus including:
