The History with American Studies Concentration major provides students the opportunity to pursue a multidisciplinary course of study that focuses on American life and culture. This program is especially suitable for students planning careers in social studies education, government, journalism, publishing, and museum research and administration. History/American Studies is also excellent preparation for law school or for graduate work in literature, history, American Studies, and related fields. Students who complete this program are designated History majors with an American Studies concentration.
History Major Concentration in American Studies Audit Form
A minimum of five history electives at the 200-level or above (Excluding HIS 310); at least three of which must be U.S. History and at least three of which must be at the 300-level.
