Introduces the changing information technology needs of the healthcare industry and provides an overview of the considerable resources required in areas such as electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical information systems. It integrates courses from several disciplines and prepare students for several jobs described by the American Society of Health Informatics Managers.
Students who minor in Healthcare Informatics must complete 18 credit hours including 1 required course, 1 additional required course, 1 option consisting of 2 classes, 1 elective course, and 1 additional elective course.
