French Minor

Dr. Bacholle With French-speaking countries spanning the globe, minoring in French offers students a unique way to expand their cultural awareness and improve their marketability.

Students of French can travel, study and work with ease in France, Canada, Belgium, or other Francophone countries. In addition, a French minor confers a competitive edge for careers in business, education, tourism, aeronautics, medical research, communication, diplomacy, and much more.

15 credits beyond elementary level (i.e., FRE 110/111)

Courses Offered

Some courses are not offered on a regular basis (check the current schedule or consult the chair of the World Languages Department). Directed study and independent study (480, 492) are reserved for students who have shown high proficiency in the language.
