100-level courses are not open to students who have earned 60 or more credits by the time they intend to take the course (juniors and seniors).
When students register for courses using eWeb, the computer system will check to see what their class standing will be during the semester they intend to take the course. If the student will be a junior or senior during that semester they will not be able to sign up for the course and will get an error message.
On occasion extenuating circumstances require enrollment in these courses, such as a pre-requisite to a required course; change or addition to a program of study; upper division alternatives conflict with another course requirement
If the student has an extenuating circumstance and wishes to sign up for the 100-level course must obtain approval of their faculty advisor
Students may request a class restriction override using their Eastern email and sending the following information to their faculty advisor and ask for a class restriction override:
Name, ID Number
CRN, Subject, Course, Section, Title
Extenuating Circumstance
Please forward your approval to registrar@easternct.edu
The Registrar’s Office will process your request and respond via Eastern email to you and your advisor once processed. Please note, if you have a hold on your account your registration will not be able to be processed.
***Please note that HIS 120, 121, and PHY 102 require approval of the Department Chair offering the course in addition to your faculty advisor.***
If for some reason you are unable to access your Eastern email account, you may fill out the bottom section of the Registration Approval Form, print it, sign it and then email to your faculty advisor for their approval asking that they forward their approval registrar@easternct.edu.
